The Friends of the Doylestown Library promotes the development of excellent library service for all Bucks County residents. The Friends does not solicit or accept any commercial endorsements/sponsorships but instead relies totally on the contributions of its members and its efforts to earn money through Friends' organized sales and activities. As a partner with the Doylestown Library (https://buckslib.org/) we provide financial support to bridge the gap between state funding and the library's needs. The Friends of the Doylestown Library is an all-volunteer organization.

The Friends of the Doylestown Library uses membership money and funds raised in our annual book sale to fund programs and purchase items for the library such as:
- Everbright light wall
- Summer Quest
- Book Page
- Backyard maintenance
- Performers' fees
- Reading to the dogs
